Trivia

    Album

  • The end credits carried a caption stating that the film was inspired by "the life story of Sh. Devender Pal Singh (DPS) Sachdeva & Smt. Tejinder Sachdeva". The characters played by Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan were named after them.
  • The film's story was set against the backdrop of the 1984 Sikh Pogrom which occurred in the aftermath of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination. Some Congress party workers filed a PIL against the makers of the film for using lookalikes of Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, who were accused of organising these attacks against the Sikh community. Producer Harry Sachdeva shifted the film's release in view of the petition.[1]
