Trivia

    Album

  • The chairman of the Censor Board, Bikram Singh, previously the editor of the Filmfare magazine, had commented after the film's first viewing that it violated every guideline of the censor board. However, the film was eventually passed with an "A" rating with just a few minor cuts. This reversal had raised questions in the film industry about the functioning of the censor board.[1]
  • This film was remade in Tamil as "Naan Sigappu Manithan" (1985) and in Telugu as "Nyayam Meere Cheppali" (1985).
  • Nana Patekar got a role in this film after Smita Patil introduced him to director Ravi Chopra. However, he was not happy with the role he was initially offered and was about to walk out of the film. Smita Patil then counselled him and got him to stay on with a better role in the film.[2]
  • Ravi Chopra and B.R. Chopra followed up this film with the similarly titled "Kal Ki Awaz" (1992).[3]
