Trivia

    Album

  • This was the debut film of the lead actors, Krishan Kumar, the brother of T-Series' head, Gulshan Kumar, and Tanya Singh, the daughter of musician Ajit Singh. They were slated to work in the film "Maina" (1992) but the film was shelved. They started seeing each other after this film and got married almost a decade later, in 2002.[1][2]

    Song

  • Aaja Sanam Warna To Hum Mar Jayenge (Suno Meri Jaan Ho Tum) - This song was plagiarised from the song "Hello" (1984) by Lionel Richie.[3]
  • Teri Nazar Se Meri Nazar - This song was an adaptation of the song "Scarborough Fair" (1966) by Simon & Garfunkel.[4]
  • Aaja Aaja Meri Jaan - R.D. Burman had recorded this song for a non-film album featuring Anuradha Paudwal with various male singers. However, the album was shelved and this song ended up being used for the promotion of this film.
  • Aaja Aaja Meri Jaan - The prelude of this song was inspired by Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (1975). R.D. Burman used the composition of this prelude in two other songs - the Bengali song "Tumi Kato Je Dure" sung by him and Asha Bhosle for a Pujo album, and in the instrumental track "Jalpari Theme" ("Saagar", 1985). The tune of the mukhda of this song was also used in these songs. R.D. Burman had used this tune earlier in the song "Aaja Mere Pyar Aaja" ("Heeralaal Pannalaal", 1978).[5][6][7]
