  • Rekha dubbed for Sridevi's voice in this film.[MR12]
  • This was K. Bhagyaraj's first Hindi film as a director.
  • The film "Masterji" (1985) was launched with K. Bhagyaraj as the director and with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. However, when Amitabh Bachchan backed out of the film, K. Bhagyaraj also dropped out. The two eventually got together in this film.[1][2]
  • This was K. Bhagyaraj's remake of the Tamil film "Oru Kaidhiyin Diary" (1985) for which he had written the script. The Tamil film was directed by P. Bharathiraja and had Kamal Haasan in the lead role. "Oru Kaidhiyin Diary" (1985) was also remade in Telugu as "Marana Homam" (1987).

  • Gori Ka Saajan Saajan Ki Gori - The tune of this song may have been inspired by the mukhda of the song "Gori Ho Kaali Ho" ("Biwi O Biwi", 1981) composed by R.D. Burman.[3]
