Trivia

    Album

  • This hit film was adapted for the Telugu film "Pokiri Raja" (1995).
  • This was the debut film of actresses Raageshwari, and Ritu Shivpuri, the daughter of actors Om and Sudha Shivpuri.
  • The storyline of this film was similar to a series of Indian films that were released earlier - the Tamil film "Anubavi Raja Anubavi" (1967), the Hindi film "Do Phool" (1972), the Kannada film "Kittu Puttu" (1977), and the Marathi film "Changu Mangu" (1990).[1]
  • This film was a surprise hit and revived Govinda's flagging career.[2]

    Song

  • O Lal Dupatte Wali Tera Naam To Bata - The lyrics of the mukhda of this song were inspired by the Hindi film song "O Kaali Topi Wale Zara Naam To Bataa" ("Kali Topi Lal Rumal", 1959) written by Majrooh Sultanpuri.[3]
