Trivia

    Album

  • Disappointed by the opening collections of this film, producer, director J. Om Prakash had decided to change its climax based on the suggestion of his friends. However, before these changes could be edited into the film, the film's popularity had increased. The director decided to leave the film as-is, and it went on to become a big hit.[1]
  • This was the second of the trilogy of romantic dramas involving love triangles produced and directed by J. Om Prakash. All three films featured Jeetendra and Reena Roy in lead roles. The other two films in the trilogy were "Apnapan" (1977) and "Arpan" (1983). Jeetendra and Reena Roy worked in one other J. Om Prakash film after this trilogy - "Aadmi Khilona Hai" (1993).[2][3][4]
  • Filmmaker J. Om Prakash's grandson Hrithik Roshan made an uncredited cameo appearance in this film. He also made small, uncredited appearances in the films "Aap Ke Deewane" (1979) and "Aas Paas" (1980). His first prominent acting role was for the film "Bhagwaan Dada" (1986).[5][6][7]
  • The opening credits of this film used R.D. Burman's title music for the film "Aandhi" (1975), which was produced by J. Om Prakash, who produced and directed this film.[8]
  • This film was a blockbuster hit. Following its success, it was remade in Telugu as "Anuraga Devatha" (1982), starring N.T. Rama Rao, Sridevi and Jayasudha, and in Tamil as "Sumangali" (1983), starring Sivaji Ganesan, Geetha and Sujatha.

    Song

  • Tune Mujhe Bulaya Shera Waliye (Jai Mata Di) - This song was included almost entirely in the Hindi film "Do Waqt Ki Roti" (1986).[9]
  • Jaane Hum Sadak Ke Logon Se - Hrithik Roshan made a cameo appearance in the film in this song.
