Album

• This film was based on Girish Karnad's Kannada play "Agni Mattu Male" (1995).
• This was the only Hindi film directed by Arjun Sajnani. Arjun, the founder-chef of Bangalore's iconic restaurant Sunny's, had previously directed the Girish Karnad play on which this film was based. Sajnani had also played the role of Indra in the play, the role that was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the film. He co-produced the film under the banner of Sunny Films. The banner logo carried the image of his dog Sunny after whom he had named his restaurant as well as his production company.[1][2]
• This was composer Sandesh Shandilya's first solo film album. His earlier film, "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (2001), had songs by other music directors as well.[3]
