CBFC's certification of the film was delayed due to a key plot element in it that appeared to be inspired by the Adarsh Housing Society scam. The scam involved a 31-storey apartment complex in the posh Mumbai locality of Colaba. The apartment was originally meant to be a 6-story building for war heroes and their widows. However, rules were broken to build additional floors, and apartments were allocated to politicians, bureaucrats and their relatives. Ashok Chavan, the Maharashtra Chief Minister at the time, had to resign when the scam surfaced in November 2010. The film was first sent to CBFC's Revising Committee after the Examining Committee refused to certify it. The filmmakers were asked to screen the film for some officials of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The film was certified after the filmmakers made a few minor changes suggested by the MoD officials.[1]
The film featured a poem by Nida Fazli. His contribution was acknowledged before the film's opening credits - "Our heartfelt thanks to Shri Nida Fazli saab for the usage of his couplet in our film".
