Trivia

    Album

  • After "Sholay" (1975), "Shaan" (1980) and "Shakti" (1982), this was the fourth film in which director Ramesh Sippy and Amitabh Bachchan worked together. Unlike their previous films, this film wasn't successful and the two didn't work together again.[1][2][3]
  • This was the first film in which Ramesh Sippy directed his second wife Kiran Joneja. It was Sippy who gave Joneja her first big break in the TV serial "Buniyaad" (1986 - 1987). They got married in 1991 after he divorced his first wife. He also directed her in "Zamaana Deewana" (1995) and "Shimla Mirchi" (2020).[4][5]
  • This was the last Hindi film featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor together. This film came nine years after their previous film together, "Namak Halaal" (1982).[6]

    Song

  • Chal Chal Ri Chal Meri Rampyari - The "Rampyari" in this song was a customised Volkswagen Beetle.
