सामान्य ज्ञान

    एल्बम

  • This was a spiritual successor to "Aksar" (2006). Both films were directed by Ananth Mahadevan and produced by Narendra Bajaj.[1]
  • This was the debut Hindi film of Sreesanth, the Indian cricketer. He was supposed to debut in "Cabaret" (2016) which was originally slated for release in 2016 but was delayed and released only in 2019.[2]
  • Actress Zareen Khan had a fallout with the makers of the film during its filming. She accused the producers of forcing her to wear skimpy clothes for every other scene and for adding unnecessary kissing scenes. She also blamed them for the poor organisation of a promotional event which resulted in her nearly getting molested by a mob. The producers, on the other hand, criticised her for her alleged unprofessional behaviour.[3]
  • Three years after the film's release, director Ananth Mahadevan took to social media to publicly "name and shame" its producers. He alleged that he was paid Rs 20 lakhs for his work while he had been promised Rs. 35 lakhs. He blamed the producers of abusing his trust by getting him to come on board without a contract and stalling his payment requests. Mahadevan also accused them of interfering with the film's making. He said that he would have made a "slick and intelligent" film if the producers had not insisted on increasing its erotic content. Finally, he attributed the film's poor box office performance to the producers' limiting its distribution.[4]
