Trivia

    Album

  • This was filmmaker Pan Nalin's first Hindi feature film.
  • The film was heavily censored by the CBFC for its Indian release. Many explicit or suggestive dialogues were removed. Many images of Hindu gods were blurred including those used in the film's opening title. As a mark of protest against the Censor Board, the filmmakers released a video of all the deleted and censored scenes on Facebook.[1]
  • The film's opening credits and its trailer used the song "Kattey" produced by Ram Sampath for Season 3 of the live music show Coke Studio @ MTV. The song was Sampath's adaptation of a Rajasthani folk song and was sung by Bhanvari Devi and Hard Kaur. When the film's trailer was released, Sona Mohapatra, who was the Executive Producer of "Kattey", expressed disappointment that the filmmakers had gone ahead and used the song even though they were denied permission by Mohapatra's team. The filmmakers claimed that they had taken the required rights for the song from MTV's parent company Viacom18. To this, Mohapatra contended that Viacom18 did not have exclusive rights to the song.[2][3]
