Trivia
- This was director I.V. Sasi's remake of his own Malayalam film "Kanamarayathu" (1984). P. Padmarajan's story for the Malayalam film was itself adapted from Jean Webster's novel "Daddy-Long-Legs" (1912).
- This was the debut Hindi film of Sabeeha, the daughter of actress Ameeta who was active in the 1950s and 1960s.
- Ameeta accused Rajesh Khanna of sexually harassing her teenaged daughter Sabeeha on the sets of this film. The ensuing controversy stalled Sabeeha's career. The next film she worked on, "Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri" (1990), came 4 years later.[1]
