Trivia

    Album

  • This was music director Roshan's last film. He passed away before the film was completed. Salil Chowdhury was brought in to record the film's background score and Roshan's wife Ira Nagrath completed the songs. The film was dedicated to Roshan. The dedication read - "This picture is dedicated to the fond memory of a dear friend and colleague".
  • This was Parikshit Sahni's first film as an adult. He had appeared as a child artist earlier in the films "Hulchul" (1951) and "Deedar" (1951). He was credited as Ajay Sahni in the film at the insistence of his friend and co-actor Sanjeev Kumar. According to Sahni, he was struggling with his acting and diction while shooting for the film since he had just returned from Russia after doing a course in film direction. It was Sanjeev Kumar who helped him improve his diction and dialogue delivery. This was also actress Zahida's debut Hindi film.[1][2][3]
  • Salil Chowdhury reused his theme music for the opening credits of this film later for the opening credits of "Annadata" (1972).[4]

    Song

  • Mehlon Ka Raja Mila - While Roshan had recorded the rest of the songs in the film, this song was arranged and recorded by his wife Ira Nagrath after he passed away.
