Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Bengali film "Deya Neya" (1963) starring Uttam Kumar and Tanuja.
  • This was the only film directed by Shakti Samanta and starring Rajesh Khanna that did not have music by a Burman. Laxmikant - Pyarelal composed the music for this film because Rajesh Khanna did not want to work with R.D. Burman due to some misunderstanding between them.[1]
  • Shakti Samanta believed that the film was not as big a success as it should have been because the audience could not accept Rajesh Khanna romancing his sister-in-law Simple Kapadia on the screen.[2]

    Song

  • Aapke Anurodh Pe Main Ye Geet Sunaata Hoon - The tune of this song's mukhda may have been inspired by the song "Do Naina Matware Tihaare" ("Meri Bahen", 1944), composed by Pankaj Mullick and sung by K.L. Saigal.[3]
  • Aate Jaate Khoobsurat Awara Sadkon Pe (Female) - This was an abridged version of the hit song from the film sung by Kishore Kumar. This version, sung by Anuradha Paudwal, was not part of the film's audio release.
