Trivia

    Album

  • The opening credits of this film used R.D. Burman's title music for the film "Aandhi" (1975), which was produced by J. Om Prakash, who produced and directed this film.[1]
  • This was the first of the trilogy of romantic dramas involving love triangles produced and directed by J. Om Prakash. All three films featured Jeetendra and Reena Roy in lead roles. The other two films in the trilogy were "Aasha" (1980) and "Arpan" (1983). Jeetendra and Reena Roy worked in one other J. Om Prakash film after this trilogy - "Aadmi Khilona Hai" (1993).[2][3][4]
  • This film was remade in Telugu as "Illalu" (1981).
  • Reena Roy refused to accept the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for this film since she believed that she had played the lead role in it.
