Trivia

    Album

  • Music director Hemant Kumar produced this film to launch his son Ritesh as a hero. Ritesh had worked as a child artist previously. He debuted in the film "Ferry" (1954), for which his father composed the music, and was credited as Master Babu. This was Hemant Kumar's last film as a producer. The film's title was probably inspired by the first film he produced "Bees Saal Baad" (1962).[1][2]
  • This is the only film in which filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee had an acting credit.

    Song

  • Jab Tak Ye Raat Hai Baaki - This song was an adaptation of the song "Yellow River" (1970) by the British band Christie.[3]
  • Kyun Hai Deewane Tu Akela - This song was Hemant Kumar's adaptation of the song "Those Were The Days" (1968) recorded by the Welsh folk singer Mary Hopkin and produced by Paul McCartney of The Beatles. "Those Were The Days" itself was written by Gene Raskin, who adapted the Russian song "Dorogoi Dlinnoyu" composed by Boris Fomin and set it to English lyrics.[4]
