Trivia

    Song

  • Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche - This blockbuster hit song by Shankar - Jaikishan was passed over in two films - "Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai" (1961) and "Suraj" (1966) - before Shammi Kapoor okayed it for this 1968 film.[MR15]
  • Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche - Director Bhappi Sonie had wanted Mumtaz to wear a saree for this song. When the actress expressed her discomfort in doing the dance moves for the song in a saree, Bhappi Sonie had designer Bhanu Ataiya come up with an improvised version of a saree that would not hamper her dancing. The song became a blockbuster hit and Bhanu Athaiya's design became famous as the Mumtaz Saree.[MR15]
