Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the hit Tamil film "Nattamai" (1994). The Tamil film was also remade in Telugu as "Pedarayudu" (1995) and in Kannada as "Simhadriya Simha" (2002). Actor Rajnikanth played the same role in both the Hindi and the Telugu versions of the film.
  • Rajinikanth's dialogue in this film - "Gajraj Thakur ne ek baar kaha to samajh lena sau baar kaha" - was the Hindi translation of his very popular dialogue from the Tamil film "Baasha" (1995).
  • It had been reported that Rekha and Raveena Tandon's relationship while working together in their earlier film "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi" (1996) wasn't cordial. There were rumours of a love affair between Akshay Kumar and Rekha during its making. It was also reported that Raveena Tandon's role in "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi" had been reduced on Rekha's insistence. This had not gone down well with Raveena, who at the time was reported to be dating Akshay Kumar. The two, however, appeared to have buried their differences to work together again in this film.[1][2][3]
