• This film was launched in 1973 with the title "MISA". The film ran into a political controversy, possibly because of the film's political theme and its title, which may have referred to the draconian Maintenance of Internal Security Act passed by the Indira Gandhi government in 1971. The film's title was later changed to "Sonmarg" and eventually released in 1980 with a different title.[1]
• This was the last released film album for which Madan Mohan recorded music during his lifetime. He had recorded the film's music in 1974-1975. There was one film album that was posthumously credited to him after this - "Veer Zaara" (2004). The songs of "Veer Zaara" (2004) were Madan Mohan's compositions that were re-created and recorded by his son Sanjeev Kohli.[2]
