Trivia

    Album

  • This was Shashi Kapoor's first film in a leading role. Prior to this, he had worked as a child artist in a few films.

    Song

  • Kaise Manaoon Piawa - Salil Chowdhury had used the tune of this song earlier for the Bengali non-film song "Amaar Kichhu Moner Asha" (1953) sung by Utpala Sen.[1]
  • Jhuk Jhuk Jhuk Jhoom Ghata Chhai Re - Salil Chowdhury reused the tune of this song for the Malayalam film song "Ponnushassin" ("Vishukkani", 1977).[2]
  • Humko Samajh Baithi Hai Yeh Duniya Deewana - Salil Chowdhury had used the tune of this song previously for the Bengali film song "Ei Duniyae Shobi Hoi" ("Ek Din Raatre", 1956). "Ek Din Raatre" (1956) was the Bengali version of "Jagte Raho" (1956) and this tune was used in the Bengali equivalent of the Hindi film song "Zindagi Khwab Hai" ("Jagte Raho", 1956).[3][4]
