Trivia

    Song

  • Teri Aankhon Ke Siva Duniya Mein Rakha Kya Hai - Male - Majrooh Sultanpuri took the first line of this song from Faiz Ahmed Faiz's nazm "Mujhse Pehli Si Mohabbat Mere Mehboob Na Maang". Faiz's poem was set to music by Rasheed Attre for the Pakistani film "Qaidi" (1962). In fact, the tune of this Pakistani film song, sung by Noor Jehan, seems to be the basis of the Hindi film song "Aaina Mujhse Meri Pehli Si Soorat Maangi" ("Daddy", 1991).[1]
  • Teri Aankhon Ke Siva Duniya Mein Rakha Kya Hai - Male - While this song was a Rafi solo in the music release, its film version had a couple of lines sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Her lines were added after the song's second antara.
  • Charagh Dil Ka Jalao Bahut Andhera Hai - The lyrics of this song were inspired by a ghazal by Firaq Gorakhpuri. One of the couplets in Firaq's ghazal went "Guzashta ahd ki yaadon ko phir karo taaza / Bujhe charaagh jalao bahut andhera hai".
