• This film was a blockbuster hit. Encouraged by its success, producer N.N. Sippy made another film, "Fakira" (1976), with many of this film's cast and crew, including writers S.M. Abbas and Dhruva Chatterjee, actors Shashi Kapoor, Asrani and Danny Denzongpa, and music director Ravindra Jain.[1]
• This film was remade in Telugu as "Bhale Dongalu" (1976).
• The audio records of this film were issued in 1973 but the film was released in 1974.

Song

• Le Jayenge Le Jayenge Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge - The lyrics of the mukhda of this hit song inspired the title of two Hindi films - "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" (1980) and "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995).[2][3]
• Yeh Mera Jaadu - This song was part of the film's audio release but wasn't included in the film. Producer N.N. Sippy later included the song in the film "Fakira" (1976).[4]
