Trivia

    Album

  • This was actor Motilal's only film as a producer, director and writer. He passed away before the film's completion. His cousin, singer Mukesh, reportedly helped complete the film. It was Motilal who had helped Mukesh get a break in Hindi films in the 1940s. The actor turned filmmaker died in dire financial straits not knowing that he would win two National Film Awards for the film - the Third Best Feature Film and the Best Story Writer.[1][2]
  • This was music director Anil Biswas's last film. He quit the film industry to focus on his career as a director and producer in All India Radio.
