Album

• This was Vidyut Jammwal's first film as a hero. The film was promoted for his martial arts skills and realistic action sequences. Jammwal had learnt Kalaripayattu - the ancient martial art of Kerala - since he was a child. A warning in the film's opening stated - "The stunts performed by Vidyut Jammwal have been executed without the use of cables or computer graphics, except for the dive in the valley. Please do not try this at home.".
• Vidyut Jammwal's first fight sequence in this film prominently featured a poster of his debut film "Force" (2011).[1]
• This was director Dilip Ghosh's first feature film in Hindi. It was also Pooja Chopra's first film as a heroine. She had debuted earlier with a minor role in "Heroine" (2012).[2]
• This was the first film in the "Commando" series of action films. All the films were produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, had Mannan Shaah's music, and featured Vidyut Jammwal as the hero. Mannan Shaah debuted as a music director in this film.[3][4]

Song

• Tu Mungda Main Gud Ki Dali - The lyrics of the song's hook line were inspired by the Hindi film song "O Mungda Mungda Main Gud Ki Dali" ("Inkaar", 1977). Its tune and lyrics were original otherwise. The 1977 song was recreated for the film "Total Dhamaal" (2019).[5][6]
