Trivia
- This was director David Dhawan's remake of his own hit film of 1995 that had the same title. It was the second of his own remakes after "Judwaa 2" (2017) which featured his son Varun Dhawan in the lead role. The film featured remixed versions of two songs from the original film composed by Anand - Milind and written by Sameer - "Husn Hai Suhana" and "Main To Raste Se Ja Raha Tha". David Dhawan's 1995 film itself was an adaptation of a Telugu film of the same title released in 1991.[1][2]
- The film's scheduled theatrical release in May 2020 was postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID pandemic. It was eventually released directly on Amazon Prime Video in December 2020.
