Trivia

    Album

  • This was the second film in the "Dabangg" series. The three films in the series had several cast and crew members in common, including actors Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Arbaaz Khan, writer Dilip Shukla, and music directors Sajid - Wajid. However, all three had different directors. While this film was directed by Arbaaz Khan, the first film was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and the third by Prabhu Deva. This was Arbaaz Khan's directorial debut.[1][2]
  • After directing the very successful "Dabangg" (2010), when Abhinav Kashyap opted out of its sequel, there were speculations that there was bad blood between him and Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan. They appeared to patch up at the time but in 2020 Kashyap wrote a Facebook post in which he held the Khan family responsible for sabotaging his career. He alleged that he had walked out of this film since he could not take the brothers' bullying ways.[3][4]
  • The Censor Board found out that a few scenes in the film depicting the police station in which Salman Khan's character worked had an inaccurate image of India's national emblem. Since deleting those scenes or reshooting them was not an option, the makers decided to blur the image in all the scenes in which it appeared.[5]
  • Prakash Raj had a fallout with director Arbaaz Khan over the length of his role in the film and refused to dub his lines. He also refused to participate in the film's promotion. Raj's lines in the film were eventually dubbed by a voice artist.[6]

    Song

  • Pandeyjee Seeti - Malaika Arora made a cameo appearance in the film for this song. She was credited in the film's opening credits as Munni, the name of her character in the film. She had performed the song "Munni Badnaam Hui Darling Tere Liye" in the first film of the series.[7]
  • Fevicol Se - The lyrics and the title of this song were the result of a product placement deal between the makers of the film and Pidilite, the owner of the Fevicol brand.[8]
  • Fevicol Se - Kareena Kapoor made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
  • Fevicol Se - There were complaints made about the sexist lyrics of this song from various quarters. The National Commission for Women sent a notice to Arbaaz Khan and asked the Mumbai police commissioner to seek an explanation from the director on the matter. In another instance, the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Muzaffarpur ordered the police to file an FIR against the artists involved in this song.[9][10]
  • Dabangg Reloaded - The song reused the hook line of the song "Hud Hud Dabangg" ("Dabangg", 2010). Both versions of the song were composed by Sajid - Wajid, written by Jalees Sherwani, and sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Sajid - Wajid reused the hook line again for "Hud Hud Dabang" ("Dabangg 3", 2019).[11][12]
