Trivia

    Album

  • A key plot point in this film was inspired by actual news reports of sightings of a monkey-like creature in Delhi in 2001.[1]
  • This was the debut film of actress Aditi Rao Hydari.

    Song

  • Rehna Tu - This song was not originally planned for the film and A.R. Rahman had to convince Rakesh Omprakash Mehra to get it included.[MR16]
  • Rehna Tu - This was the first film song in which A.R. Rahman used the Continuum Fingerboard. The Continuum was developed by a University of Illinois professor, Lippold Haken. Rahman's interest in the Continuum stemmed from the fact that it was a keyboard-like instrument that allowed micro-intonation of notes, and therefore had the ability to play Indian classical music. Rahman's first public performance on the Continuum was in a sold-out concert at the Sears Center in Chicago, with Professor Lippold Haken in the audience.[2]
  • Dil Gira Dafatan - This was singer Ash King's debut Hindi film song.
  • Genda Phool - This song was based on a Chhattisgarhi folk song.
