Trivia

    Album

  • Ram Gopal Varma and Sanjay Dutt had a falling out during the making of this film. Varma was reticent about the issue when the film was being promoted but when the film flopped, he lashed out at the actor and promised to never work with him again. He blamed the film's failure on Dutt's constant interference and demands for changes to the script. Varma claimed that the actor had also pressured him to replace Kangana Ranaut with Anjana Sukhani. The director revealed that he had brought Dutt on board on the recommendation of Abhishek Bachchan, who was part of this film initially. However, Abhishek backed out of the film subsequently and Rana Daggubati replaced him.[1][2]
  • This was actor Deepak Tijori's first film in eight years. His last film prior to this was "Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao" (2004). After taking a break from acting, Tijori had tried his hand at directing films but had not met with much success.[3]

    Song

  • Dan Dan Cheeni Shoot Mix - This song was an adaptation of the Tamil film song "Aasai Nooruvagai" ("Adutha Varisu", 1983) composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[4]
  • Mumbai Police Hai Sabka Bhai - In a special screening organised for the Censor Board and the Mumbai Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police Deven Bharti objected to the police being referred to as "bhai" - a word associated with gangsters - in this song. Bharti asked that the song be removed from the film and Censor Board accepted his recommendation.[5]
  • Thodi Si Jo Pee Lee Hai - This was Bappa Lahiri's recreation of a song composed by his father Bappi Lahiri for the film "Namak Halaal" (1982). The song was used in the film but was not part of its music release.[6]
