- This was director Govind Nihalani's first film with Amitabh Bachchan and his last film with Om Puri. Years ago, Govind Nihalani had offered "Ardh Satya" (1983) and "Drohkaal" (1995) to Amitabh Bachchan who had declined the films due to unavailability of time. On the sets of this film, Om Puri reminded Amitabh Bachchan about "Ardh Satya" (1983), one of his most memorable films, and thanked him for letting it come to him![1][2][MR22]
