- Music director Gopi Sundar, best known for his scores in Malayalam films, made his Hindi film debut in this film with the film's background score.
- This film was based on the 1990 Malayalam superhit film, "In Harihar Nagar". Another Hindi film, "Parda Hai Parda (1992), was also based on the same film.[1]
- This was the first film in which music director Pritam collaborated with lyricist Irshad Kamil. It was the beginning of a very successful partnership.
