Trivia

    Album

  • Aditya Chopra was said to be inspired by his father Yash Chopra's film "Kaala Patthar" (1979) to make this film. The title of the film was based on the song "Dhoom Mache Dhoom" ("Kaala Patthar", 1979).[1]
  • This was the first film in Yash Raj Films' "Dhoom" action franchise. Not counting cameos and minor roles, the films in the series had two actors in common - Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. Pritam composed the music for all three films.[2][3]

    Song

  • Dhoom Machaale - This song seems to have been adapted from two different songs - Jesse Cook's "Mario Takes A Walk" and Amr Diab's "Enta Ma Oltesh Leh".[4][5]
  • Dhoom Machaale - This was the first installment of the Dhoom title song. All three songs had the same hook line but different singers and arrangements. The second Dhoom title song was sung by Vishal Dadlani and Dominique Cerejo and the third by Aditi Singh Sharma.[6][7]
  • Dilbar Shikdum Shikdum - This song was an adaptation of the song "Sikdim" by the Turkish singer Tarkan.[8]
