Trivia

    Album

  • This film was based on Agatha Christie's play "The Unexpected Guest" (1958). The play was also adapted for the Tamil film "Puriyaadha Pudhir" (1990).
  • This was Danny Denzongpa's breakthrough film. However, he was not the first choice for the role he played in it. B.R. Chopra had initially offered the role to Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha. Despite Danny pitching himself for the role, Chopra was not convinced that someone as young and clean-cut looking as him would work. Danny changed the filmmaker's mind by appearing in front of him in full costume.
  • This was Zeenat Aman's first film with Sanjay Khan. The two actors got married in 1978 but got separated a year later. In 1980, in a much-reported incident, Khan publicly assaulted Zeenat in a five-star hotel while his wife Zarine Khan egged him on. They worked together one last time for the film "Abdullah" (1979).[1]

    Song

  • Jubna Se Chunariya Khisak Gayi Re - Music director Ravi had to write the lyrics for this song because the film's lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi had refused to pen the raunchy lyrics filmmaker B.R. Chopra had demanded for it.[2]
