Trivia

    Album

  • The singer Shyam of the very popular songs of this 1949 film played the villain in the film and was credited as Sham Kumar. Ironically, the name of the hero on whom his songs were picturised, was also Shyam. The hero Shyam's full name was Sundar Shyam Chaddha and he was not a singer. He died on set while shooting for the film "Shabistan" (1951). The villain Shyam's real name was Syed Gul Hamid and was usually credited as Sham Kumar or Shyam Kumar. He went on to make movies till he passed away in 1981. He also sang for a number of film songs over the years.
