- This film was an adaptation of the Korean film "Always" (2011). The Korean film was also remade in Kannada as "Boxer" (2015).
- The film's title was inspired by a song from the film "The Great Gambler" (1979) starring Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman. The song was composed by R.D. Burman and written by Anand Bakshi.[1]
