Trivia

    Album

  • This was actress Asha Sachdev's debut Hindi film. It was also Gogi Anand's directorial debut.

    Song

  • Main Jhonka Mast Hawa Ka - The tune of this song's mukhda was inspired by the popular song "What Now My Love". "What Now My Love" itself was the English version of the French song "Et Maintenant" (1961) composed by Gilbert Becaud. "What Now My Love" has been covered by many artists including Shirley Bassey, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.[1][2]
  • Maine Tumko Chaha Pehli Baar - The tune of the mukhda of this song was inspired by Jose Feliciano's "Listen To The Falling Rain". This song was previously used in a medley sung by Usha Iyer in "Bombay To Goa" (1972). The tune of "Rain" was used in other Hindi film songs as well - Satyam's "Mere Dil Jhoom Jhoom Tu Gaaye Ja" ("Rani Aur Jaani", 1973) and Anu Malik's "Sun Sun Sun Barsaat Ki Dhun" ("Sir", 1993). R.D. Burman also adapted the flute solo in "Rain" for the song "Jaane Jaan Dhoondhta Phir Raha" ("Jawani Diwani", 1972).[3][4][5][6][7]
  • Dekho Hum Donon Ki Yaari - R.D. Burman used variations of the tune of this song's mukhda in two other songs - "Jaan-E-Jaanan Jao Kal Phir Aana" ("Samadhi", 1972) and "Lalla Allah Tera Nigehbaan" ("Abdullah", 1979).[8][9]
