  • The film was an adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel "Tess of the d'Urbervilles" (1891).[MR1]
  • The film featured two short songs sung by Bhupinder Singh. These songs were used in the background score and not issued on the music records. The film also featured a brief sequence of Lata Mangeshkar humming a bandish composed by Prempiya - "Ho Paiyan Paroongi Palanga Naa Charoongi". The song was filmed on Nutan but was not released on records.[1]
