Trivia

    Album

  • This film was remade in Telugu as "KD No.1" (1978) starring N.T. Rama Rao.
  • Manoj Kumar had been asked by the I&B Ministry to direct a pro-Emergency film written by Amrita Pritam. When he refused to make the documentary, the ministry released his film "Shor" (1972) on Doordarshan a few days before it was due for a repeat theatrical release. According to Manoj Kumar, Doordarshan was able to do so because of an Emergency rule that allowed it to telecast any Indian film two weeks after its theatrical release. The ministry did the same with this film as well. Manoj Kumar, who had suffered huge losses due to this, had filed a case and eventually won it after the Janata Party came to power.[1][2][3]

    Song

  • Yeh Duniya Ek Numbri Toh Main Dus Numbri - 2 - This version of the song was in the film but not included in its audio release.
