Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a super-hit and was remade in many other languages - in Tamil as "Neethi" (1972), in Telugu as "Khaidi Babai" (1974), in Malayalam as "Maattoly" (1978) and in Kannada as "Hosa Theerpu" (1983).
  • This film was initially titled "Zanjeer". However, director Dulal Guha changed the title during the film's making. Producer Premji later gifted the "Zanjeer" film title to Prakash Mehra.[1][2]

    Song

  • Vaada Tera Vaada (Sachhaai Chhup Nahin Sakti) - Anand Bakshi's opening lines of this song were inspired by a message he spotted on the back of a truck he was trying to overtake while on his way to a shoot. Interestingly, Rajesh Khanna's character in this film on whom this song was filmed was a truck driver.[3]
