Trivia

    Album

  • Based on the film's trailer, it was widely speculated that it was based on the Korean action thriller "I Saw the Devil" (2010). Director Mohit Suri denied these allegations and stated that his film's trailer had simply used a line from the Korean film's promo. However, when the film was eventually released, the general opinion of the audience and critics was that it had borrowed a few key elements from the Korean film.[1][2]
  • The film was initially titled "Villain". The title was changed at the advanced stages of filmmaking since it had already been registered by Arjun Rampal. The film's new title had also been registered - this one by Rajiv Rai, who released it at Ekta Kapoor's request.[3][4]

    Song

  • Awari - Actress Prachi Desai made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
  • Teri Galiyan (Unplugged) - This was actress Shraddha Kapoor's first Hindi film song as a playback singer.
