Trivia

    Song

  • Hothon Pe Tera Naam Tu Hi To Hai Mera Shyam - The song's music records credited Lata Mangeshkar as its only singer. However, it also featured a few lines sung by Hemant Kumar.
  • Hothon Pe Tera Naam Tu Hi To Hai Mera Shyam - The tune of this song's mukhda resembles the tunes of the Hindi film songs "Gori Hai Kalaiyan Tu La De Mujhe Hari Hari Choodiyan" ("Aaj Ka Arjun", 1990), composed by Bappi Lahiri, and "Gori Hain Kalaiyan Pehni Hain Maine" ("Gori", 1992), composed by Shankar - Jaikishan, as well as the Pakistani film song "Neendran Nai Aundiyan" ("Gamma BA", 1976) composed by Wazir Afzal. It is possible that the tunes of all these songs had origins in folk music.[1][2][3]
  • Bharat Ke Lok Geet - This song featured folk tunes sung in Marathi, Gujarati, Rajasthani, and Punjabi.
  • Madbhari Hain Pyar Ki Palken - Most of the song was sung by Geeta Dutt but it ended with a few lines from another song in the same film, "Hothon Pe Tera Naam Tu Hi To Hai Mera Shyam", sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
