Trivia

    Album

  • This was Rajesh Mapuskar's directorial debut. He had built his film career as an assistant director working for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film productions. Mapuskar had conceived the film's story during the making of "Lage Raho Munna Bhai" (2006). Over the next few years, he worked on the story with Raj Kumar Hirani. While the original idea revolved around a Ferrari car, it later developed into a specific Ferrari - Sachin Tendulkar's. Tendulkar had sold his car to businessman Jayesh Desai by the time the film was made. Desai made it available for this film's shooting. The film acknowledged him before the opening credits - "Special thanks to Jayesh Desai for the use of Sachin Tendulkar's Ferrari". The passion Vidhu Vinod Chopra's son Agni had for cricket inspired the addition of cricket crazy boy to the plot. The film's opening credits were preceded by a note from Vidhu Vinod Chopra - "Thank you Sachin, for inspiring millions of Kayos, including my son Agni. Jo dekha wohi seekha...".[1][2][3]
