Trivia

    Album

  • The film was an adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations" (1861).
  • Rekha had initially signed this film and even begun work on it. She quit when it was still in production. It was reported that Rekha had walked out of the film since she was not happy with the rushes. Tabu bailed out director Abhishek Kapoor by agreeing to replace Rekha and re-shooting her scenes. There were speculations that Rekha had opted out of the film since she had felt that it was too close to her own life. Abhishek Kapoor dismissed these rumours and clarified that they had parted ways amicably due to creative differences.[1][2]
  • Ghazal singer Talat Aziz made an acting comeback in this film. His last film as an actor before this was "Chand Sa Roshan Chehra" (2005).[3]
