Trivia

    Album

  • This was the only film in which Hemant Kumar collaborated as a music director with lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.

    Song

  • Main Paagal Hoon - The song had three antaras and Kishore Kumar parodied a different Hindi film song in each of them. The first anata featured "Pujari More Mandir Mein Aavo" ("Jagirdar", 1937), the second antara "Prem Nagar Mein Banaoongi Ghar Main" ("Chandidas", 1934), and the third antara featured the lines "Laila Laila pukaroon main ban mein / Pyari Laila chhupi hai mere man mein". The lyrics "Laila Laila pukaroon..." may have owed their origin to a song from the Hindi film "Laila Majnu" (1931). It's possible that these lines have older antecedents. They were also used in the Hindi film songs "Medley Song" ("Mr. Sampat", 1952), "Majnu Majnu Pukaroon Main Ban Mein" ("Resham", 1952), "Aata Hai Yaad Mujhko Guzra Hua Zamana" ("Shri Naqad Narayan", 1955), "Nautanki Laila Majnu" ("Bhabhi", 1957), and "Yaar Kapada Shaandar Hai" ("Painter Babu", 1983).[1][2][3][4][5][6]
  • Aaj Mujhe Kuchh Kehna Hai - This was Kishore Kumar's only duet with Sudha Malhotra.
  • Aaj Rona Pada To Samjhe - Hemant Kumar had used the tune of this song previously for a Bengali non-film song sung by Lata Mangeshkar, "Prem Ekbaari Eshechhilo Neerabe" (1957).[7]
