Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Tamil film "Neerum Neruppum" (1971) starring M.G. Ramachandran. The Tamil film itself was the remake of another Tamil film "Apoorva Sagodharargal" (1949), which in turn was based on Alexandre Dumas' French novel "Les Freres Corses" (English: "The Corsican Brothers"), first published in 1844. "Apoorva Sagodharargal" (1949) was part of a trilingual production which was released in Telugu as "Apoorva Sahodarulu" (1949) and in Hindi as "Nishan" (1949). "Neerum Neruppum" (1971) was also dubbed in Hindi and released as "Aakhri Nishan" (1973).[1][2]
  • Producer Rajkumar Kohli and director Naresh Kumar (Rajendra Kumar's brother) apparently had a fallout during the making of this film. Perhaps because of this fallout, Kohli directed every future film he produced, and Naresh Kumar produced every future film he directed.
