Trivia

    Album

  • The film was based on the true story of Gouri Hari Das, who struggled against the Indian bureaucracy for 32 years to prove that he had participated in the country's freedom struggle and was eligible for the benefits due to freedom fighters.[1]
  • This was violinist L. Subramaniam's first Hindi film score in almost three decades. Prior to this, the last Hindi film he had composed music for was "Salaam Bombay!" (1988). Many members of his family were involved with him in the film's soundtrack. His children Bindu and Ambi Subramaniam were credited as assistants. His daughter Bindu also sang and wrote a song for the film. L. Subramaniam's wife Kavita Krishnamurthy and his son Narayana Subramaniam also sang songs for the film.[2]
  • The film was certified in August 2014 but it was released along with its music in August 2015.
