• This was the third film of the "Masti" adult comedy franchise. All the films in the series were directed by Indra Kumar and featured Riteish Deshkumar, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani in lead roles.[1][2]
• The film's release was advanced by a week after it was reported that copies of it had been uploaded to the internet. It appears that it was the Censor Board's copy of the film that was leaked.[3]
• The character of a maid in this film was named Shiney. This appeared to be a dig at actor Shiney Ahuja who had been convicted of raping his maid in 2011. Retaliating against this reference, the actor sent a legal notice to the makers of the film citing criminal contempt under the Contempt of Court Act. The notice stated that the actor had filed an appeal against his 2011 conviction and the matter was sub-judice. The notice demanded an apology from the filmmakers and asked the character to be renamed.[4]
