  • This was director Basu Chatterjee's last major Hindi film that got a theatrical release. He finished his Hindi film career with two Hindi films about a decade later - the TV film "Prateeksha" (2006) and "Kuch Khatta Kuch Meetha" (2007).[1][2]
  • This film was adapted from the Hollywood romantic comedy "The Seven Year Itch" (1955). "The Seven Year Itch" is best remembered for its iconic image of Marilyn Monroe standing on a subway grate holding her white dress down as it is blown up by a train passing below.
