Trivia

    Album

  • The film was envisioned as a sequel to the sleeper hit "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" (2010) and was titled "Atithi In London" initially. Both films were directed by Ashwani Dhir and featured Paresh Rawal as the titular guest. Ajay Devgn, who played the lead role in the 2010 film, made a cameo appearance in this film. Warner Bros, the producers of "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" (2010), were involved in the early stages but backed out eventually. They drew up an agreement with Panorama Studios, the makers of the film, to disallow them from associating it with the 2010 film. This included a clause that prevented the makers from using the word "atithi" in the film's promotions. It was this agreement that forced Panorama Studios to change the title. However, the trailer of the film featured its title song which had the word "atithi" in it. This prompted Warner Bros to file an injunction with the Bombay High Court asking for a stay on the release of the film's promotions. The High Court refused to hear the matter immediately. It is unclear how the matter was finally resolved but Ashwani Dhir issued a statement to the effect that the new film had nothing to do with "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" (2010). The film went ahead with its release as planned.[1][2][3][4]
  • Lisa Haydon was cast as the film's female lead when it was launched. However, the actress backed out just ten days before it was supposed to go on the floors. This infuriated producer Abhishek Pathak, who threatened to sue Haydon. It was initially believed that the actress had quit the film since she was getting married to Dino Lalvani. It was speculated later that she had opted out because she was pregnant - the actress gave birth to her first child a couple of months before the film's release. Kriti Kharbanda replaced Haydon as the female lead.[5]

    Song

  • Daru Vich Pyaar - This was the re-created version of a song from the film "Tum Bin" (2001). The original song was composed, written, and sung by Taz aka T.S. Jarnail.[6]
