- The film was announced in May 2019 and was supposed to be released in November later that year. It was postponed to February 2020 and then to April 2020. However, its theatrical release was called off due to the outbreak of the COVID pandemic and it was released directly on Amazon Prime Video in June 2020.[1][2][3]
- 88-year-old actress Farrukh Jaffar got top billing in the film - above Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana. This was her last Hindi film. She died on Oct 15 2021. According to Jaffar, she had made her Hindi film debut with "Umrao Jaan" (1981) in which she played the biological mother of the titular character played by Rekha.[4]
