Trivia

    Album

  • Filmmaker Devi Sharma had planned this as a low-budget, black & white film with Kumkum as the female lead. Jeetendra had other ideas and helped transform it into a more high profile film. He helped bring on board Rajshree who was a top actress of the time and with whom he had worked in "Geet Gaaya Patharon Ne" (1964). They managed to rope in Shankar - Jaikishan to composed the film's music and shot the film in colour. It ended up becoming one of Jeetendra's early successes.[1][2]
  • The film opened with the following disclaimer - "The title of this film coincides with Dr. Dharamvir Bharti's famous Hindi novel 'Gunahon Ka Devta' while the film has no concern with the theme of the novel". According to Dr. Bharti's statement to the Madhuri magazine, the makers of the film had approached him for the rights to adapt his book but he had turned them down.
